A drop of red paint...

to start off again.

yes! DTST is back. after completing our missions and what we had to do overseas, now we are back and left with ample of time to get the engine heated again!
now each style post will address only one piece of clothing... meaning one post per clothing :)
starting off with this post,

Style 1: a red dress with large sleeveless cutting.

ofcourse as for basic style, if an individual goes for a more conservative approach, one would wear a spaghetti or a tube top before pulling over the red casual yet sexy dress. BUT what if you want more??

scroll down to see the very few pictures of what you can transform and maximize this piece of clothing till it's worth every penny of it. Don't just stop there as a red casual dress!

Combined it with a high-waisted shorts to give it a funky edge.
now you can walk down the streets feeling more gathered up!

Too casual? add ribbons to it. As an example, bring the two top straps together with the ribbon. secured it whichever way you want. be creative! as long as there are the two sides of the ribbon left, pull it to the back and tie it into a bow. all ready to party!`

too much red or too much of a colour? or wanted a more casual-classy look? don't forget! the dress has large sleeveless and neckline... tuck them in, such that in a way it is not visible. and if the dress is not a fitting, fold one side of it after tucking and secure with a belt. any belt but preferably larger belts to hide the folds. Wallaa A Skirt!

that's the end for now. Hopefully time permits Style 2!

Along the lanes...
a slow winter afternoon downtown Brissy.

plain-jane on the walk.

just a simple basic top accompanied with scarf wrappa round.

as for the skirt, originally a dress but snipped into a 'A' shaped skirt.

frays are covered with a black waisted belt.

simple accessories can complete your casual day.

outfit too simple? need not transform into fancy clothings..

pull from the rack a basic beret / large bag / bangles etc...

even a long cotton vest will do the trick!

just some simple thoughts~

off we go again~ to crack our heads for final exams :)

Weigh it down chunkily
No more wearing tonnes of earring, necklaces, bangles, rings altogether!
Why wear so many when just a chunky heavy accessory completes the look?
Do not over-accessorize yourself. Keep it minimal, wear it big and outstanding.

Heart U. heart Me. II

whether it's day to the night,
dawn 'till dusk
Here are few combination of outfits

that could fit y'all.. on this special Saturday.

By that we meant Valentine's Day.
Left with not much hints on where your date is bringing you this Valentine's?
As anxious as you can be,
let the clothes you wear make you comfortable yet having the confidence.

Just a few alteration and accessories make a whole lot of difference!
A few samples of how you can wear these clothings during the day/night date
OR even if ya hanging out with friends and family!

(p/s: this post is not about re-use or recycling clothings. Just some tips on wearing clothings the right way).

Rolla Glitz

Worry not. even if your surprised date was to go fishing. this outfit cutely matches outdoor activities. grab a pair of slim jeans, roll it up to knee-length and slap on a pair of sandals. Now you are comfortably ready to kick some ass. Just change the shoes if you are hitting the malls or cafes.

How about a night date and going for a casual-chic look? Pull over the same shimmering top, roll down that pair of slim jeans accompanied with trendy heels and it would be perfect for a dinner-movie date.

Be that Jasmine.

suitable for picnic.
or a fancy dinner downtown.

always wanted to be part of Walt Disney? Be the princess of the day. Frilly top + aladdin pants. Gives a girly feel while wearing the comfortable loose pants. Accessorize yourself with chunky beaded bangles. Tie the pants slightly below the knee to have a daywear look.

Going to a posh restaurant and want to be comfortable? Lower the length of the aladdin pants and tie it around the ankle level. Give it some elegance by slipping into a pair of striking pumps.

Retro Shine

Shine out your colour on that day. Looking the best for Valentine does not necessary mean extraordinary-sophisticated clothes, heavy makeover! Sometimes, simplicity is the ultimate perfection. Have a satin-liked dress over, complement it with simple accessorries such as belt, beaded necklace and u r ready to have a fun time out..

You can always transform the dress into a casual daywear by tucking it with a pair of skinny jeans.

Electrified

Want to wear a loud coloured dress. Wear it plain with trendy sandals or gladiators for a day outing. It is also suitable for a dinner-party atmosphere by matching it with a black leggings (semi-transparent leggings are recommended if you are from a tropical weathered country, thick leggings are no-no unless it's autumn/winter). Pump it up with dark colours peep-toe heels ready to shout out loud!

We are not insisting that you have to follow the same exact type of cut/colour/material clothing, shoes, accessories.
Any similar type of clothings that falls into it's category will do the trick.
These are just a few basic-everyday tips on how to wear them right.
Not being too over-dress nor under-dress.

You dont have to wait until v-day to wear nice clothes..
make everyday a special day :)

Ja!~

(sorry about the slow post. we were busy with few problems that cropped up and we will continue to be busy in the next few weeks but we hope not!)
